Got an interview offer from one of the big 4 IB Firms (GS/Citi/JPMC/MS). Good compensation but have to move to NY :marseypuke: Should I go or refuse?

Got the mail like 15 minutes ago

!fincels !peakpoors !fellas anyone with NYC experience, is a $120k (without bonus, median $180k with bonus) enough for a single male to survive in NYC with some dignity?

First year joinees can usually make upto $300-$500k but thats in the top 5%ile. I'm not that ambitious, ruthless or intelligent.

Also, they called me on 8th Feb 8:30 in the morning. There would be a mixer session from 9-10 with senior partners. How tf do you even dress for that.

:marseyaaatremble#: I'm having a panic attack. I have wanted to switch to sell side research for a long time. Now that the dream is close by I'm very nervous.

Do it for a year or two just to get it on your resume and have fun in NYC. The drawbacks of bug life are greatly lessoned if you have a real job

Plus, I hear the dating ratio in NYC is really distorted so men have an easy time dating attractive women :marseyshrug:

Burying myself at work and pushing for 14 hours a day is nothing for me. It's pretty easy compared to my previous jobs.

>Dating ratio of NYC doesn't interest me because I have truly become a volcel.

I guess I'm worried about nothing.
