Got an interview offer from one of the big 4 IB Firms (GS/Citi/JPMC/MS). Good compensation but have to move to NY :marseypuke: Should I go or refuse?

Got the mail like 15 minutes ago

!fincels !peakpoors !fellas anyone with NYC experience, is a $120k (without bonus, median $180k with bonus) enough for a single male to survive in NYC with some dignity?

First year joinees can usually make upto $300-$500k but thats in the top 5%ile. I'm not that ambitious, ruthless or intelligent.

Also, they called me on 8th Feb 8:30 in the morning. There would be a mixer session from 9-10 with senior partners. How tf do you even dress for that.

:marseyaaatremble#: I'm having a panic attack. I have wanted to switch to sell side research for a long time. Now that the dream is close by I'm very nervous.

NYC rocks if you have money dude just do it.

Literally like 99% of the complainers about NYC are poors who have to live in shitty apartments costing half their wages.

You won't be penthouse in Manhattan but you'll afford a nice place with transit access in like Brooklyn, and you'll be in a job where promotions really could afford you lower Manhattan.

Yeah that is my primary concern. Whether living costs are too high.

I don't drink, don't Starbucks, don't vidya, have no intention of splurging money on women via tinder or anything else and I don't go to concerts, I just want to be able to afford a spacious living place.

P.S. - Don't want to live near minorities is also a concern

Better start getting some taste then lol

If you're a racist bro don't move to NYC because you won't like it. The city is like 30% white and that's including Jewish people so if you're some kind of mongoloid WASP you're fricked.
