Idk we've known each other for a few months and hang out multiple times a week so I thought it was normal but I guess I just dont understand social boundaries :marseyautism:. I also asked my trans girl friend if she also wanted to come too but she kept stressing that on weekends is when she hangs with her bf :marseytrans2: took me a few days to realize she was prob telling me off lmao :marseyaware: and i thought i was doing so well socially :marseyteehee: :marseybrainlet: dunning kruger reddit moment !cuteandvalid make fun of me haha

I had a birthday party recently and a few friends didn't come last minute and I was anxious about it. But when I realize I'm surrounded by family and friends who did come and who love me I didn't worry about it and spent time with them.

Also I've had to cancel going to a birthday party, it's not about the birthday person it's usually another situation. Dont over think it and don't blame yourself. I'd continue being their friend if their friendship is more positive than negative. If they flake more often in the future then maybe that's a red flag. Hope you had a great birthday!
