Shown is one of our three family dogs, Bailey. !animalposters I adore this photo, it's been my mom's contact tag for years! :marseyheart:

Anyone else have funny ones for family that don't doxx? Or do, if you're into that sort of thing, I suppose :marseyxd:

for a long time I didn't keep any close ppl in as contacts just numbers and it made me remember by heart all the ppl in my life i talk to regularly number. This came in super handy one time after a strange night where I was lost, had no money, and no phone. I was able to a use businesses phone and contact my ppl which I never would have remembered their number if I had them in as contacts.

I had/ have a 10 cm left ovarian abcess thats still got a drain in it. I was in the hospital for 3 days and had surgery already, and will need another soon. :marseyconeofshame: I get to see my PCP tomorrow but things hurt and I have a literal drain system implanted that's held together with nails. :marseycry:

:m#arseywtf2:

Had an abcess in my back a few years ago and it was only 3-4cm deep. They did cut it out quite nicely though (well it's basically a 3x4 scar), so only needed surgery once and no drain. But they didn't close the wound up at all and just put a bandage on, so it slowly grew closed. So basically regular wound cleaning visits (initially daily, then every other day, then twice a week). Took a total of ~2-3 months to heal (estimate was 3-4).

While I stayed at the hospital though the old guy in my room was a quite funny. Probably dead by now, cause he had cancer at his esophagus and the resection of the cancerous part basically meant it had to be sutured back again at a higher position. Thinking about him... he was really sad that he couldn't go home as well when I left after 2 days. Was already in the hospital for a few weeks at that time and he still had a stool management system installed.

Happy healing to you though! :)

My, how sad, cruel, and small the world can be sometimes.... it was my first surgery and I took it awake like a champ :beavisandbuttheadrocking:

I know what it's like to miss old roommates, though. That feeling of something that could've been a lasting friendship if only.

:marseyembrace: true, true. The recovery period may be up to 2 months though. So wild that this happened to me, but mister man and my family are doing a lot to fatten me up at home now that I've been discharged (I got out on the 14th) :marseysunflower: my mom gave me a sunflower arrangement to cheer me up but now my real garden is out of reach :marseycry:

Just their initials.

My father's phone always has an empty battery, cause he doesn't use it for anything. My mother's is charged, cause she needs it for amazon otps, but it's always next to the work pc (she won't hear it). If I want to reach them I have to use the landline, which I still know by memory. Cute dog though!

But here's a (sleepy) cat pic ("Why the frick are you waking me up?")
