Those little 4% lidocaine patches did wonders for my elbow pain when I had tendonitis there - but I'm surmising they would exacerbate your personal moid issue if attempted while wearing them. Or make it cooler, who knows.

Target actually carries some very small patches that I end up not needing to cut up - but if you buy the big ones online, I'd recommend cutting them.
They're tricky because the pain disappears when they're on - and you start thinking the pain is gone - but then as soon as you take it off for a while, the pain comes back (so it works very well for pain relief, just have to remember to take it easy still until it's healed)
