Back at you. Cannons aren't too difficult to build. My plan is some PVC on planks but they're going to be obscured by a ship. What I'd do is build a small gun cradle from pallet wood. Go to Menards or Home Depot and get small plastic wheels and a 5' section of 4" PVC pipe and two end caps. Cut the PVC in half, that way you can have 2 guns. To make the guns look real, sand the PVC with 60 grit to add texture. Base should be matte black. For depth, dust with grey spray paint. They'll look convincing enough for kids/passers by. If you want to be fancy buy some 4" to 5" flairs and put them on the end. To add, pirate cannons were generally pretty small, like 4 to 8 pounders. so you can be historically accurate.

Im doing pirates this year as well, i wanted to get a few cannons but have only found full scale replicas
