Cheyenne gets her wish π a nice "L" countertop made of HARDWOOD... ... Yep! You read that right XD hardwood!! Shes been bgging me for YEARS for a new sink... new countertop...new shelves!! I FEEL like Oscar from corner gas! Ive got my meaaurements and ill start this weekend... βΊοΈ planning on pulling it all in.to the city house where i have my (UNHEATEDπ₯Άπ) shop!! I WANT to mount it on 1/2in plywood that I scavenged today. Dumpster divers UNITE!! π«‘ i love going through the new suburbs in the city and jacking their plywood from the dumpsters haha!! My old man used to do the same thing π Reduce... reuse... recycle!!
Grandkids came over! The two boys love their wooden track set... you dont get toys like that anymore...
Does anyone have any experience making hardwood counter tops? Is this a good idea? π«£π€ Ill probably do it anyway. Wishing everyone a restful sleep!!

This is just the plans π¬ !! Imagine dark walnut... the colour of milk chocolate with hints f dark running up and down the grain... all aranged in a chevron with their grains running prependicular to the boards on the other side... finished with the same sheen youd get from tile π€€ this cutting board idea really got away from me πΆβπ«οΈπ€―
Like THIS!! but as a WHOLE COUNTERTOP!!

Have you looked into epoxy? I like those creations.
And I say this as being someone that worked in stone masonry as a young lad (granite, marble, quartz, etc). It's not unique anymore, IMO.
As to your picture.. it looks like very cheap flooring material. Do not like. Just being honest, friendo.
