Unironically I think Biden is doing a pretty solid job. He was dealt a shit hand and his administration played it about as well as possible.
The economy could be better, but the US is outperforming Europe and Asia, and it's certainly not the disaster nightmare recession so many people were screaming about.
He managed the pandemic decently, accelerated the vax rollout and re-opened the country, even over objections from the crazy leftoid zero-covid doomers.
He's skillfully and narrowly gotten a couple big bills through Congress: the CHIPS act, the infrastructure bill and the IRA bill are all big pieces of legislation that shift American industrial policy in favor of domestic production and supports local blue collar workers.
He got the frick out of Afghanistan, which was a shitshow but needed to happen. He sacked up and did something difficult that none of his predecessors had the guts to do.
He and his team tried pretty hard to stop Russia from invading Ukraine, even overruling the intelligence community to make an unusually public show of their data on the invasion. It would have been easy for Putin to go, "lmao, just a training exercise" and turn around and make Biden look stupid, but then he would also have averted the full scale war.
He has worked to show support for Israel as a close ally while also restraining them and sparing the Palestinians, even to the point of airdropping aid directly in the face of Israeli obstruction. For this, Bibi has shat in his face and angry college leftoids are trying hard to hand the election to Trump. Anyone who thinks he's fricked up the Israel/Palestine thing, I'm v curious what you would do differently.

Mine said the same thing. I remember getting into a debate with my dad about it. I was arguing that Biden was so old, mentally, that in reality he wasn't capable of making governance decisions and they were just made by others in his admin. My dad rebutted, arguing that Biden was, and I quote, "sharp as a tack". This was less than a year ago.
I think my parents are the lib version of r-slurred boomers who watch Fox, though. They watch a lot of MSNBC.

He seems like a push-over, which in a way is good since the executive has too much power, but then again whomever runs the Democrats can now use his office essentially. So, it all seems very rotten and anti-democratic. That and the ongoing kangaroo trials and repeated peaceful uprisings over the years have really undermined my faith in the Democratic Party.
