tiny homes are the dumbest solution. it's like all the negatives of cage apartments with the negatives of single :marseykiwimom: family :marseymaushold: homes.

A family friend decided five years ago that he and his wife (late-20s, both masters degree holders) would build a tiny home to live in. The idea being that they could move around with it, live somewhere for a year or a season, then pickup and move.

It has turned into a hilarious saga of failure. Despite both being engineers neither of them could build. It's sat partially constructed in their back yard for years. Now they have a kid and desperately want to get rid of this monstrosity but to sell it they need to finish building it. So they've been pouring incredible, home remodeling-amounts of money into this thing in a desperate bid to extricate themselves from this stupid idea they got from Reddit.

It's glorious. They mop themselves.

So... an RV? Why didn't they just buy a pop-up camper van?

Meanwhile my friend accidentally built a tinyhome in his yard because he realized he bought too much lumber for the foundation of his shed
