Diversity Is Our Strength Harris campaign spokesperson Ian Sams said in an MSNBC interview that the vice president will not be on Joe Rogan's podcast.
"We talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast, unfortunately, it isn't going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign," Sams told MSNBC's Chris Hayes.
Sams also said that "the vice president is happy to go anywhere and any place to talk to a broad segment of the country."
Reuters reported last week that Harris might sit down for an interview on Rogan's podcast in an effort to galvanize more male voters. The publication said Harris campaign officials met with Rogan's team earlier this week but had not confirmed an appearance.
Former President Trump plans to sit for a Friday interview with the podcaster on "The Joe Rogan Experience," which boasts more than 14 million followers on Spotify, according to Politico. The former president has never been on Rogan's show, which has faced criticism in recent years over commentary on public health and other controversial issues.

Such an r-slured decision Joe Rogan and his fans are both right leaning but also open the new ideas to the point they end up falling for blatant scammers. This would be the ideal interview for winning a huge amount of votes.

It's a double-edged sword. It might be a good move because a "left" candidate going on a "right" podcast could maybe bridge the gap a little to be more centrist and appeal to both sides, and would also show confidence that she is willing to talk to "the enemy" and neither hide from them nor demonize them. But all those things would also drive people away. Think of the "one nazi at a table" nonsense, and the potential for it to turn into a complete PR disaster are very high, especially when it's kamala. She isn't exactly known for her stellar public appearances.
For a better candidate, going on Joe Rogan would be a no-brainer. For Kamala, or any other current top democrat, it's highly risky.

Yeah, I get the impression that Kamala is kinda thin-skinned. Have her do an interview for a couple of hours where she can't just spout rehearsed scripted answers to pre-vetted questions, and I imagine there's a real possibility she'd have a tantrum on-air (if her reputation for regularly having screaming fits at her staff is any way true).
