what they're trying to do is repeal a law put in place in the late 50s that raised the age of consent to 18, but also gave women the right to inheritance and child custody and other progressive foidshit
what's crazier is there are women in parliament supporting this and literally their own oppression (my mom says they're all uggos who belong in a village selling parsley on the ground lol) but supporters say some shit like it's to prevent some haram relationships between kids and that these marriages happen already in the r-slurred villages or whatever
but still it won't pass and it's ridiculous and qassim is turning in his grave

bc they support lowering it since being against women's rights is positively correlated with stupidity
