>I did end up crying. Not really crying because of the app in itself, but the community we made. We were able to talk to anyone who had access to the app in the world. Share our thoughts, feelings, memories, funny moments, and personal moments. My whole life changed because of this platform. I randomly typed in my issues i was having with my body, and a video popped up of this lady explaining the illness Pots. I ended up going on a deep dive and eventually figuring out i had a lot of the same issues. I ended up going to a doctor because my symptoms were getting worse and to my surprise, i had pots. I didn't even know what pots was before tiktok. I had then joined a community of people who were fighting the same battle as i was. I've had so many other issues come to life. I don't watch the news, but tiktok continued to provide me with information on what's going on in the world. No other app could do that. None. i've been on that app for 10 years, when it started as Musical.ly. 10 years of laughter, tears, and knowledge, just down the drain. It's honestly a shame

Women sharing their various "chronic illness symptoms" on the app was becoming a legitimate health crisis. Same thing with psychological disorders, where they just started self-diagnosing autism and tourette's like crazy.
