Really there just needs to be a divorcing of online perception vs reality. People need to know their worst perceptions are constantly being catered to. Red and blue will actually get along much better in real life than the strawman bigots/champaign socialists they are portrayed as.

Over the years I've met a handful rural chuds in online gaming spaces (which for certain are apolitical) and the vast majority of them are actually sub-80 r-slurs.
