Yep. Education levels in the US has declined dramatically since the creation of the DOE both compared to other nations, and just compared to pre-DOE math and literacy levels.

This may be entirely due to demographics /u/Lucky-Hunter-Dude

I'm still slightly skeptical but this is evidence that US education is actually the best in the world.

/uj I am having to be really fricking careful not to let my troll come out at home on this one. Letting southern states learn the hard way the importance of education is probably a good thing and states with good schools will continue to have good schools without ED, it largely tries to pull up the bad states which are nearly universally red states. I assume congress would do something with student loans and just move them elsewhere (although eliminating the federal student loan programs would be very very very good for $DRAMA, its a revenue source for the federal government so screeching libs and laughing at the chuds reducing revenue).

My wife is a teacher in a title 1 school. Not a white kid in sight. ED largely pays for IEP services, if ED goes away they will end up with tard schools again. Might as well forget about Florida, Mississippi etc having kids who can read. She is used to me being an butthole but I suspect pointing out that Trump is doing the right thing by putting the monkeys in Zoos instead of Schools would probably not go very well.
