Unironically this. Aviation parts are expensive because every single nut, bolt, screw, dildo, rivet, etc. gets extremely rigorous inspections and there is a paper trail on every part. Also my brother in law needs his sweet, sweet no-bid contracts

yet the industry has a huge problem with normal parts getting in , including the NTSB's own stock. :marseyshook:
