The lulz is that his position means he is super easy to find in contempt of court and as it would be civil contempt it's not pardonable.
The Institute of Education Sciences he got done gutting yesterday isn't an executive administered agency and I'm looking forward to the lawsuits on that one, congress created as independent. Trump also can't fire the director.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/20/chapter-76/subchapter-I/part-A covers the institute. Fixed term appointments, is not subservient to SecED and has it's own appropriation that the director spends based on the congressionally established functions.
There are a bunch of actions that are ambiguous they have done but this isn't one of them, it's simply out of reach of POTUS. Court is going to tell them to reverse what they have done, if they don't people will be found in contempt.

Any sentences for contempt will still exist in 4 years. They are not pardonable. Day of the inauguration unless next POTUS prevents the marshals from arresting them they will be arrested.
The agencies he has closed will also still exist because he needs congress to kill them. It's really fricking weird what he is doing because it's the least effective way to reduce the size of government.

Think about it. They went after Trump (legally) and Musk (financially) already before the election. And they will go after them now and they will go after them after trumps presidency is over. They dont need to be in contempt or violate anything - the swamp is gonna come for them anyways, so darned if you do darned if you dont, they dont care about whats gonna happen in 4 years because they are betting everything on keeping POTUS idefinitely (no that doesnt involve making trump the emperor as funny as that would be) probably through manipulation of election systems which thanks to democrats is free game now.
