Hmm... It's all a bit fuzzy. Let me see. Once I got my own mobile internet (and this was only in college) I used to read movie/book plots on wikipedia, use Yahoo! answers(actually had an account there) and lurk narutoforums(came across it while googling who would win stuff). I also used to lurk defence.pk forums

Then I was introduced to TVtropes.com (through the course of reading about movies, their reviews, and influence and all that), Cracked.com(reading their listicles on funny Yahoo! answers posts, Chuck Norris Jokes, etc...), and other comic/anime sites like Comicvine(had an account here), spacebattles and moviecodec.com. Cracked.com and Tv tropes made me more aware memes, 4chan and reddit. Spent time going through memes on Cheezburgerz, Cruchyroll forums(lots of image macro memes), uncyclopedia and Encylopedia Dramatica. Learnt more about reddit and 4Chan here.
Made a reddit account at around 2016. Mostly talking about films and posting on /r/India. Came across moviescirclejerk when Batman v Superman was released and there was huge meltdown by DC fans. I was a regular there and got to know other meta/cringe subs like Cringepics, CringeAnarchy, justneckbeardthings and niceguys. From /r/India, I got to know of /r/Indiadiscussion, /r/Bakchodi, /r/Kuttichevuru and /r/Indiaspeaks(I was there when I was around 15K to 17K subscrubers) and I think it was either through CringeAnarchy or some SRD post that made the frontpage(2016 election shit) I got to know of /r/Drama. I lurked reading the top posts like banning of FPH, Jailbait, the Ellen Pao drama and all that
. I started posting on /r/Drama from early 2017 when people were still discussing whether they should use "Bussy" or "Boi Pucci". First "major" /r/Drama post I can remember was the Atomic Blackpill by Incels 
. It was also around 2017 I started posting on 4Chan(I only occasionally visited it/lurked at that point). Early 2019, I was amongst a handful of users who started using /r/Librandu. I think there was quite literally just a handful of users there including the mods at that point. I got to know that sub because /r/Indiaspeaks had become unuseable at that point and one of the Ispeaks users(/u/Yahooji_Reloaded I think) was complaining about some metashit there. My experiences in that sub lead me to renounce wingcuckery 
. I initially didn't come to the offsite because I didn't think it would take off but surprisingly it did

So basically, anime and capeshit lead me to this place.

. I visited and posted on Bakchodi occasionally but it was a bit too hostile to Dumeels which is why they preferred /r/Kuttichevuru. Honestly, the caste and regionalist arguments got tired pretty fast on both subs.
For the longest of time they had the pretense of being neutral but they kept away most centrists and leftoids away due to hostile behavior. Only persistent folk like Walrus/Risensteam could stay there (but then they banned him anyway). The Balakot strikes were the death knell to that sub as it opened the floodgates to Whatsapp tier rightoids. Even the OG rightoids like RRC and Encounter_Ekambaram stopped using the sub because of it.
