with jet packs we can ensphere (enhemisphere) the enemy instead of merely encircling them

Pretty sure the future of war is millions of shitty suicide drones.

Those things are insane. They basically enable any army, no matter how outmatched to inflict serious losses.

Its gonna get worse and worse too. They'll be fully automated. We're gonna have AI driven hunter killer drones flying around command and conquer style.

And it will apply to everything - even missile defense. Imagine a swarm of hundreds of thousands if not millions of explosive micro drones forming a net over a large area and just cucking missiles, planes etc.

This is actually something the f-35 was imagined to do, command a fleet of drones.

Not really, I'd bet anything the government id already working on defensive drone swarms. And it was talked about in relation to the f-35.

Tbh most the enemies we are going to actually fight these days aren't actually nations but militant groups who don't give a frick about civilian casualties like we will due to optics. So, you need to take out pockets of them on a block in a city there's the threat they'll just blow it all up.

What we're seeing here will never be deployed, but if they can't keep moving the tech forward I could see it being a more tactical way to insert troops into areas that are to hard to land in with a giant helicopter or roping, so basically a helicopter could stay much higher and jetpack chads could come down to exactly where they need to be.

I also have never been in the military and have no idea what I'm talking about, but shits still cool
