They want grandma and grandpa near to help along uncles? Sounds great but how is that in conflict with the "nuclear family" or why does it make the nuclear family bad?

The idea of a 'nuclear family' being the end all be all of social organization is such a ridiculous idea to have if you have any historical knowledge or context at all.
There are literally countless examples of people and cultures throughout history with vastly different family dynamics, societies where children are raised communally or with multiple sets of parents were a REGULARITY in the ancient world. As a matter of well documented historic fact, the concept of a 'Nuclear Family' has literally only existed since the 1920's. The human race has been surviving without the concept of a nuclear family for vastly longer than it has.
What does "raised communally" even means? The extended families of the old days closely knitted and distrustful, where do they get that communally bullshit? And there were still parents and children, and the parents always did most of the work of raising them. Why so much anger?
Reddit is crawling with these churchy types complaining about promiscuity or "porn addiction" nonstop, it's so weird.

marriage is about duty and commitment. love is a 19st century invention
we are meant to sacrifice for our children. to sacrifice for society at large.
part of that duty is being a good hustbnad/wife even if you've lost or never had that 'spark'

Not all monks are priests and I said monastery.
Presently men with a history of homosexual behavior are not accepted to enter into the priesthood due to the pederasty scandals of the 20th century, and I'm not sure that will be lifted in our lifetime.
Catholics have to date not conceded that people even can be "gay" the way you're saying, though. We all have sinful desires but that doesn't define us, our behaviors and inherent dignity having been made in the image of God do.
