Redditors seethe :marseyrage: at tradcath :marseycrusade: gatekeeping le sexy s*x and the nuclear family

@Corinthian was that you? I think you could unironically cause a lot of seethe on reddit baiting them by just being yourself.

What is nuclear family? It's an industrial bullshit.Raise a joint family if you are so called trad.

There's no such thing as a nuclear family. Even the ads they posted in the 50s and 60s the entire families looked dead inside.

"This will work if we all conform to this! Put that frickin smile on Timmy, we're headed to church to love everyone except those colored people cuz that's what I think my God wants and it's good person stuff"

Edit: not 50s and 60s. Need fact check but before then maybe 20s to 50s? Whatever the idea was drilled into my dad's head but he is 72

What exactly redditors want when they :#soysnooseethe: about the nuclear family?

They want grandma and grandpa near to help along uncles? Sounds great but how is that in conflict with the "nuclear family" or why does it make the nuclear family bad?

Or do they mean "the new quirky friends I made and my polyamorous partners are le family" :#soysnoo:

The idea of a 'nuclear family' being the end all be all of social organization is such a ridiculous idea to have if you have any historical knowledge or context at all.

There are literally countless examples of people and cultures throughout history with vastly different family dynamics, societies where children are raised communally or with multiple sets of parents were a REGULARITY in the ancient world. As a matter of well documented historic fact, the concept of a 'Nuclear Family' has literally only existed since the 1920's. The human race has been surviving without the concept of a nuclear family for vastly longer than it has.

What does "raised communally" even means? The extended families of the old days closely knitted and distrustful, where do they get that communally bullshit? And there were still parents and children, and the parents always did most of the work of raising them. Why so much anger?

Reddit is crawling with these churchy types complaining about promiscuity or "porn addiction" nonstop, it's so weird.

NOOOOO THERE'S NO PORN ADDICTION :#marseycoomer3:

People like this are ridiculous.

It's like they can't decide if they want to be Utilitarian or hardcore Catholic Republic.

Insisting that the only "good" someone can do is making progress towards the betterment of society in itself is fricking stupid; if I save a dying kid am I a bad person because that didn't contribute towards the progress of my society? If I'm gay am I bad person because I can't produce more kids for the progression of society?

It's such a stupid and often self contradictory philosophy.

!nooticers reminder most /r/gatekeeping users are likely foids judging by their stemcel aversion and the fact most of them are psychology majors.

No, it pretty objectively has lol. It works out for the wealthy but has absolutely fractured lower income families.

This isnt some insane take, the onset of the nuclear family has caused all kinds of problems.

So what's the ideal family structure? Extended families/multiple nuclear families in one household? Polycuckery? Throw the kids in an arena and let god sort it out?

(Serious question, I lean towards the first because it can be pretty nice depending on the size of the household and also the third because poor kids SHOULD be forced to fight to survive)

the ideal family structure is wagecucking for your gf who then leaves you for another man

Extended families are the best scenario, but not everyone lives near their parents and siblings. People move a lot because of work nowadays and no one is gonna trust their neighbors to help them raise their kids lol. I guess close friends of the parents can be sort of uncles.

People pooping on the "nuclear family" have no realistic alternative besides relatives and grandparents lending a hand if they live nearby, the nuclear family is a product of modernity and urbanization.

Yeah, it is unrealistic to expect that nobody in your family ever moves out of town for work or school (I guess that there are towns in which there is a decent+achievable university and/or a big employer, but these are getting to be less and less common).

Closely knit extended families in general are good with the caveat that they aren't achievable for everybody (also v annoying if you have a bitchy matriarch :marseybabushka:)

For every extended family that offers support there's an oppressive and landed clan where the elders have no real empathy for the youth. They view them as resources who should do as they're told because they're indebted to clan by virtue of existing. Families becoming large and proud leads to thirdie shit like honor killings and being exiled because you married wrong.

And besides, the reason extended families gave way to nuclear families is quite simply because of freedom of movement. People move around the country to get better jobs. Simple as.

So how would we rebuild the extended family? You'd have to deny people the ability to move cities.

Also Pizza himself left his Florida family to go live in Portland didn't he? :marseysmug2:

I linked an article on it.

The general idea is nuclear families are far more vulnerable to shocks.

We'd probably see a lot fewer homeless and a lot less crazy on the streets if we still had large extended families.

Yeah they could be making their whole family miserable every day instead

/ OK but the issue is extended families are a very unrealistic proposition for the majority of western liberal wagecucks in currentyear. Add on to that the fact that commies and their ilk don't wan to abolish the nuclear family and replace it with extended familes, they want to replace it with ''community'' and state guardianship. For these reasons I would still advocate for a nuclear family setting as it's infinitely better for children on average than 1 parent households or none at all.

The fox who longed for grapes, beholds with pain

The tempting clusters were too high to gain;

Grieved in his heart he forced a careless smile,

And cried, 'They're sharp and hardly worth my while.'

Funny enough I think David Brooks has a good take on it:

https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2020/03/the-nuclear-family-was-a-mistake/605536/

This iss what the BLM tards were trying to say. Naturally, conservatives, being poorly educated started reeing about communism without actually understanding why so many leftists dislike the nuclear family.
