Every time [wrong party] wins you'll be told that everything they do is a disaster, the country is collapsing and your international reputation is ruined.
In reality there is little practical change.
Trump's admin are certainly doing more than usual to enact change, but rolling back DEI and cracking down on activism in federal agencies isn't the extreme change that people want to pretend it is. These initiatives mostly only took root in the last decade.

Hey, I saw that you just joined rdrama and a group of people who hate me are trying to smear my name by calling me a date male feminist. I just wanted to let you know that it's not true. If you want all the receipts proving it they're right here.
