Loss of innocence is tragic but idealization of innocence as an adult is the kind of fundamental man/woman-child mentality that redscare usually dunks on. This post belongs in Tumblr with a bunch of soft-bois replying that they just wanna be friends too.

I get the seem feeling of repulsion as when I read that one quote from one of Houellebecq's books where some 30 year old incel laments that he never will experience the innocent love that can only be experienced in youth ("you will never be a young girl's dream..."). It's not even the sexual aspect that I'm most annoyed by, it's the desire for regression and the idealization of being an island that is constantly nurtured and supported at the expense of everyone else. Sure, the desire to not be leered at by men is understandable, but idealizing childhood indicates that there are other, more immature desires involved.

Might sound weird but I wouldn't be surprised if this poster was really into DDLG shit.

its similar to people that think we should not evangelize because making people aware of gods word and therefore culpable to failing to live up to it is worse than letting them live as if they had never heard gods word. We need to grow up when we're kids, idealizing being a child is just idealizing your ignorance to the world around you, and we need to preach the gospel because idealizing 'invincible ignorance' is just idealizing your ignorance to the will of god.
