POST HAPPENINGS IN THE MIDDLE EAST

I found this particularly unsettling. I'm a Jewish atheist and it feels that they wanted to convert to be 'culturally' Jewish. Growing up in a Jewish family I don't think they have any idea how offensive it is. And I don't normally use the term cultural appropriation but it is in this case. Absolutely convert if that's what you would like to do - but do this properly. You can't convert to being culturally Jewish, there's a whole history there that not only do they not understand but it's remarkably offensive to suggest that you can take the 'edgy' bits of Judaism while also claiming some religious aspect at the same time. When I showed my (very religious) mum some of their statements and videos she was really upset. To then claim that those people calling them out are antisemitic is ridiculous. Also as a Jewish atheist I would never claim to represent all of Judaism or the Jewish community.
This neighbor ain't Jewish, he's just Ashkenazi. I wonder if he realizes that'd probably make Palestinians hate him more, not less?
