Lol no. It's mostly that they're in charge while the economy is tanking and rightoids are traditionally viewed as the economy guys. In places where the rightoids are currently in power they're getting hit just as hard as the left elsewhere e.g. the Tories in the UK, VVD in the Netherlands and to a lesser extent Sanchez's outmanoeuvring of the right in Spain. That's not to say a rightward shift isn't being seen as epitomised by the AfD and IMO a wider shift of the Overton window but its that left-wing parties all over the continent chose the wrong time to be in power ala 2008.

The actual answer is that no money was going to Hamas anyway and they'll just do a double check now to make sure that no money can be used indirectly for them now too. And one European commissioner isn't the entire commission (though he holds a somewhat related portfolio) so it wasn't an actual policy directive either.
