Seems to be harping on stated military goals, if Israel says the goal is to wipe out Hamas and then withdraws leaving a militant outfit capable of at least decent defence then the stated military goal is a failure and Wikipedia gets to record it as such—in addition to the benefit of "controlling the field" after a battle.
The real politics here is the propaganda of what's considered "a battle". Seems the Palis and their supporters are themselves framing the battles which allows them to frame any victories the way they want. Heck it's probably less deliberate and more just downstream of media reporting of the war where all you get are Israeli announcements of operations, their success and their end while the on-ground constant content that's required for a 24/7 news cycle is only really produced by the Palestinian side.
Finally, a lot of these are tactical engagements like ambushes, not the operational level actions most famous "battles" are in most people's minds.

That's like the entirety of the Bleeding Kansas Era in the lead up to the Civil War. In school they teach it like there were major conflicts raging all over, but if you look into it most of the battles were like 40 dudes taking pot shots at each other before one side ran away.
