The problem with maid is that it's sanctioned, suicide should not be a painless clean state approved action there's two types of suicide that preserve some dignity the suppuku style death with honor and the bitter vengeance shotgun suicide.
Maid is a perversion of the 1st it's allowed even slightly promoted by society but suppuku was intentionally painful one would cut their stomach open spilling it's acid all over there wounds this is because it was a punishment not a easy way out.
Jumping is an example of the 2nt type it's public and gory it draws attention and traumatizes others it's an act of vengeance despite not actively hurting others like a mass shooting or being as gory as a shotgun to the roof of the mouth.

ive considered it a few times in my life and when I was being really dumb and not thinking straight a big motivation of the methods I considered/tried was to picture the people who hurt me finding me and it ruining their day at least
one of the best anti-suicide things I ever saw was this thing they gave out to the girls when I was in highschool, it was like this comic about a girl killing herself to get back at her bullies but in the end the bullies use it to get themselves social power and be the center of attention because they go like "oh she was our bestie we're so sad we need lots of days off and attention and gifts" and that stuck with me lol. Anyway sorry for the tangent

My mother told me about this old man in her neighbourhood who stood at a window holding on to a noose and was spotted by someone from the road(Second floor so he must have been standing right next to the open window lol) then that guy tells some other people they storm his house, break down the door and 'save' him. And he was still standing there with the noose in hand.
I think even if I was just testing it out, considering it or w/e but then there was a misunderstanding and the matter got to that point I'd just
