Oh lol, of course. Branding strategies like that are really funny.
While we're on the subject of your homeland, why is United, the shittiest major US airline by a significant margin, the only US airline that flies direct to Changi? I live closer to, and have frequent flier miles with, a hub airport for one of the other two superior US airlines (Delta and American). I might finally be in a position to take a vacation over there (and/or networking "business trip" and/or goombling my savings away ) within the next year but I'll have to pay out the butt like a non-frequent flier.
This is not to shit on Changi at all, it is a beautiful airport that I'd enjoy flying thru regardless.
Hmm I'm frankly not sure and truth be told most locals wouldn't have heard of Delta or American do they fly directly to other South East Asian countries?
Maybe they want you to fly our national carrier here Singapore Airlines direct to NY or something's always promoted here lol

Huh, I guess they don't. Now that I'm actually looking at it, neither Delta nor American fly anywhere besides the basic main CN+HK+SK+ROC (erm, I mean Chinese Taipei ) airports. Still, I wish they flew to Changi and think it would make business sense. American Airlines does have a codeshare agreement with Malaysian Airlines tho.
I'd love to fly SG airlines with the singapore girls lol, and JFK International in NY is probably the closest airport to me that they serve directly. The US airlines are too progressive to use women in their marketing at all.

lmao yeah I guess the Singapore girls are a draw but I'm probably spoiled and used to seeing them that they don't feel too special anymore. You should try Singapore Airlines! It's really good in terms of service and everything, and you'll feast like a king if you fly business and above, especially on such a long flight

Maybe United flies here because both them and Singapore Air are in the Star Alliance: https://www.staralliance.com/en/members

Yeah that's almost definitely the reason. They fight over these territories AIUI. My miles are with Oneworld tho.
