Nah it's literally cheap as chips in Japan, I got 1.8L of it for USD$13 at a local supermarket just recently. Tory's (Suntory's budget offering) is about the same

Tbf Japanese whisky is similarly overpriced in Australia, I bought a mate of mine a whisky that was AUD$120 in Australia but AUD$19 in Japan, cheapest good gift I've ever gotten someone
