VR is too neurodivergent and high-barrier-of-entry for normies, anyone expecting it to carry a big project is an r-slur, though I understand Oculus employees want to justify their existence.

Seriously using a regular computer enough is hard enough for the average person. Imagine installing and troubleshooting VR Tech on top of that it's only like 5% of the population that can accomplish that.

There are also space considerations and what I'd call anti-social aspect of it. Imagine flailing your arms around while your wife is sitting on the couch and your dog/kids are running around you. Most people just won't do this nor will they lock themselves alone into a dedicated VR room, only autists and manchildren will.

imo the only viable VR sport application would be something like the Wahoo cycling app. Maybe VR running too, idk. They'd have to design a better, lighter and sweat proof headset first though. It won't save the company and the market is pretty small but cyclecucks love spending $$$ on useless tech shit
