even assuming they all cost nothing but California minimum wage that is 172 MILLION in salary. No fricking way this is right, i must've somehow done it wrong, I cannot believe twitter will cut out at least 172 million dollars a year and just hasn't done it yet, it could easily reach double that with benefits and the fact that most workers there likely earn a lot more than 31k a year. For their Q2 statements, they spent 450 million on R&D, 308 on Sales & Marketing, and 216 on General & Admin. So it should be nearly trivial to shave off 300-400 million of expenses. Also a cost of revenue of 540 million, which has to be a majority salaries as well.

There's in-house policy writers that write policy they pass down to the outsourcing firms to hire and manage the policies, that often again outsource to smaller firms to hire the jannies, and the good jannies get promoted up to the bigger outsourcing firm and promoted within to other and better projects if they do a good job.
