She. I had originally exposed it to the internet, it was originally a temporary measure for when I was educating myself, and then I didn't lock it down afterwards.

And in another post they mention they just used default passwords, very nice

I fully acknowledge that was bad, a bad idea, but homelab development follows an erratic learning process and when I started I didn't understand security to the same degree.

This is somehow even more r-slurred than me opening up RDP port to the internet so that I can remote into my desktop from work

I used unencrypted vnc for remote work for a few months because I was too lazy to read a paragraph about ssh tunneling.

Granted it's over an internal vpn, but I hope no one was neurodivergent enough to constantly sniff for such connections just in case.
