Session titles included:
• “Pronouns, Bottoms, Cat-Ears And Cuerpes, Girl: For An Intersectional Trans Linguistic Anthropology”
• “Unsettling Whiteness: Race And Religion In The United States”
• “On Indigenous People’s Terms: Unsettling Landscapes Through Remapping Practices”
• “Unsettling Queer Anthropology: Critical Genealogies and Decolonizing Futures”
At registration, you could ask for a “comfort ribbon” to indicate whether you preferred 1) handshakes, 2) elbow bumps, or 3) six feet of distance between you and others. The list of “the AAA Principles of Professional Responsibility,” which was prominently posted at entrances, starts with the line: “Do No Harm.” There were also signs stating that attendees shouldn’t use “scented personal care products” to ensure that those with “chemical sensitivities” could attend the conference in comfort.

The super lefty liberal arts school I did my undergrad at defunded their anthro department because it was worthless. I think some sects of it are genuinely worse than sociology and gender studies.

I remember my anthro professor once stoped our 300-400 person class to announce that race is in fact not real and any students continuing to promote this white-centric viewpoint will be severely docked, lol.

This must be turbo spaz mayo nonsense. Even in my (unspecified) African university with it's hyper libtarded leadership had an anthropologist apartment that at least seemed based on collection of hard knowledge.
There anthropology involved cataloguing all the various tribal histories, clothes, architecture and historical to modern shit
Wasn't useful for getting a job, but still seemed worthwhile for the sumtotal acruement of human knowledge

Why would I want humans to have more knowledge? They do so much damage with the little they have.
