Why would you put people in interactions with bots that agree with them? Then you're just reinforcing the behavior that you banned them for.
Dont you keep them busier by making bots argue with them? And then those bots are advocating for your side too

Because when people are agreeing they're experiencing catharsis which makes them less likely to actually do anything else. If you can direct all their energy into a rantbox it simmers them down. Then you can redirect their energy along the lines of what you want them to do once you have convinced them that doing that will be in their interests.
This is hard, because it requires having good arguments. People are also more likely to notice or call out botlike behaviour when they feel it's being used against them.
