That UI actually looks pretty decent tbh. I have found that AI is actually quite good at doing UI work, or really clients for well-defined APIs in general. All it needs to do is interface between the API you give it and whatever UI library you are using. There's not a lot of ambiguity or thinking needed, just typing a lot of boilerplate.
I'm sure it would struggle if it had to make significant design choices about aesthetics or user experience, but if you're just trying to put a front end on top of whatever neurodivergent bullshit you wrote, it's great. I had ChatGPT write the UI for my last personal project and it worked quite well. I also used Aider to write a CLI tool for a service I built at work and it saved me like a day of typing.
I have found that good software engineers tend to see AI a productivity boost since the value we bring is thinking, not typing. If AI ever gets to the point where it can write all of my code, I will still have a job because that's not what I get paid to do.
