If only you knew how bad things really are

And yes, this is all the tanks that showed up on Moscow victory parade this year.

They could've just cancelled the parade and played a 2 minute prerecorded speech from Putin, and that would've made more sense than the decision to go through with this

Is there some weird media spin they've been doing where this makes sense? Is this like a recreation of some legendary parade a random tank commander did in Stalingrad? :marseyquestion:

No they couldn't. The parade went through without incident, no interruption from hohol terrorists, which shows the impotence of Ukraine who threatened the parade multiple times. If they cancelled it that would mean Russia is afraid of it getting interrupted.

What this shows to Russians is everything is alright, most don't care about tanks or whatever.

To me it just seems like it's drawing attention to how not-alright things are, being so conspicuously different from every parade in the past, but I'll admit I don't know enough about the current perspective of the average vatnik to say that's how they would see it

Yeah, you don't know what you're talking about, like most dramoids here.

Yeah having the parade cancelled would be much less unusual than having a slightly different vehicle composition of one :marseydramautist: You're clearly the voice of reason here

If all you have is a stray cat, perhaps your circus should forego the "exotic animals" act for any number of less overtly pitiful performances

Russia looks weak as frick. Might as well have sent 20 ladas instead of a tank.

Circumstances that are unusual are not unusual circumstances; they are usual circumstances that are unusual.

I wouldn’t trust anyone born in America to have a sane grasp of America’s internal politics, much less international relations involving America. Why would I feel any different about Russians?

I didn't say "I was born here which is the sole reason I'm an expert", did I? I think this fact does add to my awareness and deeper understanding of the situation here though, which is why I mention it.

I understand you're american and have trouble with comprehension though.

You too @Energizer

>*some Telegram sources have proven themselves more reliable than mainstream media time and time again sometimes

The advantage of telegram sources is that they're faster than mainstream media, but it's also the wild west, full of people showing different things, drawing different conclusions from the same thing and pushing agendas. Every group with an interest in this war is trying to control the flow of information on Telegram, including the Russian and US governments.

The truth may be on telegram, but it's buried beneath a mountain of garbage and nobody that is emotionally invested in this conflict wants it anyway when they can just get the truth they'd rather hear instead.

And of course there's um... :marseyschizo: exceptions to the rule.

But why do you think people root for Russia?

Kind of low bar if "people 700km away didn't attack us" is a W in your book.

Albiet, that did happen TWICE so take whatever W you can at this point
