Ukraine and Russia are both c*nts. I just favor whichever side the media is heck bent on convincing me are the baddies. Prior to the war, there was a survey in Ukraine about how likely it was needed to bribe government officials to get out of an issue or get some rightfully owed benefit. Pretty much every single person had experienced requests for bribes.
On top of that, it’s a horrifically poverty stricken area mired in government official laundering. Had the war not started, any rational person would have called the place a failed state. The only reason we’ve been propagandized to do anything here is because every political dynasty family (Clinton’s, bush’s, Biden’s, CIA) have all coincidentally done business over there. Its purely a ruling class interest through and through, we just get 24/7 propaganda about a country 90% of people literally called “THE Ukraine” because they didn’t know it was a country before 2022.
In other words, it’s a kitty country.

Russia pretty much eliminated bribery at low levels, and at higher levels it's the same as anywhere. The worst case you get is some doctors expect a tip after they do the job (free healthcare so you don't pay normally). Ukraine is very much like Russia 20 years ago so yeah, they still have bribery on every level.
Poverty also doesn't apply to Russia except for some poor regions and every other country has poor regions like that as well. Ukraine has more of these but in bigger cities it's pretty much like everywhere else.
Other than that yeah, it's just a playground for the elites. Supporting Ukraine is supporting the sociopathic billionaires of the west, not people of Ukraine who would benefit greatly from joining/being finally at peace with Russia.
