I also found out today that pokrovsk is getting evacuated and last working coal coke mine under Ukraine was closed because they don't have enough manpower to hold pokrovsk line and they launch an attack into Russian territory. It will end badly for Ukraine but I guess they want media to forget about failures in Donetsk

What exactly pathetic ? Ukrainian going offensive is objectively good for Russia when Ukraine is short on manpower and attacking Russian soil means Russia can use non contractors to fight Ukrainian. Ukraine using 6 brigades and those transferred from Belarus borders. Ukraine just weakened it self without a good reason. On top of it burgers don't like this idea.

Eh they've managed well given the force ratios. People build up Russia as a superpower and it is materiel wise but its active military in the theater is tiny, outnumbered 2 to 3 to 1 since the start when conventionally for an offensive to succeed you are supposed to have 3x men. Even as a whole, personnel wise its army is tiny despite massive defense outlay cause it tries to maintain parity with US R&D. Given that the side conscripting people off the streets is facing manpower issues against the mostly contractual military(that tbf draws from a population 3-4x larger) I think you can imagine what casualty ratios must have been like.

Their only true frick up was that they thought Ukrainian were smarter. They thought Ukraine will give up on Crimea and become neutral. Russian original didn't even planned to incorporate Donbas. So Russian attacked Ukraine without enough forces and west at that moment thought that with some help mb Ukraine will destroy Russia and this lead us to this clown show that now ensured Ukraine won't have a future.
