Belarus's totally democratically elected leader. Technically Putin's lapdog but he might still get invaded by Russia for no reason. Or abandoned completely by Putin and he'll end up lynched by his own population :marseyshrug:

Why can't belarus just get annexed and be another state like Dagestan? If rvssia long term plan was to get closer to western europe, that would be the most intelligent thing to do, so as to have further kkkontrol over the slice of Konigsberg that is completely isolated from rvssia and could get glassed pretty easily as the whole territory is just one huge military base. The population disagrees with Lukashenko's decision wholeheartedly, so much so that there is a radio/tv station just across the border in poland that streams news in belarussian to show how kkkorrupt Lukashenko and its accolades are, but I doubt anyone would fight for the country. Best scenario you end up like slovakia, the closest there is to a civilized slav country, worst case scenario, you end up like every other slavic country that's filled to the brim with corruption, crime, and brain drain

Because direct control is a b-word. Indirect control is cheaper and more efficient

I'm pretty sure they'll get annexed eventually. Russian leaders love to invade nearby countries to prove their might to their r-slurred population and Russia is starting to run out of countries to invade, since they either end up in NATO/EU or they are also within China's sphere of influence. And despite what doomers say on the internet, I'm not sure that Russia will attack Ukraine again too soon, this war has been humiliating and a huge waste of resources for very little gain, they might prefer an easier target next.

I don't know how he does it. Dude doesn't seem to be liked by anyone. But still holds into power.
