99% of rap sounds awful. there are the few meritorious examples that people always drag out to defend it but look at any list of the shit that "people" actually listen to and it all sounds awful with awful subject matter about crime/drugs/(vulgar) s*x. Not to mention that almost all avid rap listeners are subhuman
music peaked with Marty Robbins and it's all been downhill from there

It's something that does unironically trigger @CREAMY_DOG_ORGASM sometimes because 1 truly, truly can't wrap @CREAMY_DOG_ORGASM's head around why people like it. I'll be a bit more fair and say why people like the popualr rap shit but it's just so awful and 1 don't understand it at all. It's just so bad in every way

as a metalloid I will concede that metal sounds godawful on any low fidelity setup like a car or phone speakers but it can sound good with a good setup, or just decent headphones.

for me. I hate the low-pitched guitars and bass, as well as the oppressive, loud drums. And of course the vocals too.
For me, it has everything to do with instrument
choice 
and how they write 
their songs.
Though I still respect
