1 actually think that metal as a genre sounds horrific to the point that 1 consider it more offensive to my ears than rap is. Metal is 100% awful nosie to m3 but 1 respect it as a genre since it's very well crafted.
It's something that does unironically trigger @CREAMY_DOG_ORGASM sometimes because 1 truly, truly can't wrap @CREAMY_DOG_ORGASM's head around why people like it. I'll be a bit more fair and say why people like the popualr rap shit but it's just so awful and 1 don't understand it at all. It's just so bad in every way
as a metalloid I will concede that metal sounds godawful on any low fidelity setup like a car or phone speakers but it can sound good with a good setup, or just decent headphones.
It's not a matter for speaker quality for me. I hate the low-pitched guitars and bass, as well as the oppressive, loud drums. And of course the vocals too.
For me, it has everything to do with instrument choice and how they write their songs.
Though I still respect it because the songs themselves are very musical
