Have a foid friend who used to work for a shrink. She told me bpd is pretty much a diagnosis of 'this person's a c*nt and unwilling to do any of the work required to not be a c*nt'.
Since then, the moment i find out someone's bpd (tbf, only met one person offline who's admitted to it) is the moment i move heaven and earth to avoid that person as much as possible.

A heterodox opinion in psychology is that BPD is basically a female manifestation of sociopathy, and women end up with a BPD diagnosis because their hysterical acts and keying their boyfriends car get written off as emotional instability instead of callousness.
It's obvious if you interact with any BPD foid that lack of empathy better describes their behavior and problems more than anything else.

BPD can be treated with stuff like DBT, so your friend's definition is a bit wrong. It would apply to those with BPD who don't care to get better. I looked into BPD a few years ago and it's honestly a sad thing for those that know that they have it and hate it (especially quiet BPD). They know they act irrational and feel wrong, but they cannot stop it.
I would still not be a close friend with someone with BPD. Cause I know I would try to fix her and become too attached to her myself.

Generally i find that if your mental health treatment doesn't involve homework at some point, it's probably woo.
I will continue to make fun of bpds, because on this site i'll make fun of anyone who's human, but will also remember that it really sucks to have emotions and thoughts that are constantly overwhelming you.

DBT contains tons of homework. But yeah, I also make fun of BPDs which I don't know personally, especially those that think they have higher empathy than others and are superhuman in that regard. Only thing that I find slightly annoying is r-slurs (not you) who diagnose any shitty woman as BPD.
