GUY BASED MY WORTH OFF AN iPhone

Met this guy at uni he wasn't the best looking but he was nice we get to talking and he jokes about how I have An Android (he. Has an iPhone btw) so I jokingly reply with a sassy remark and say "well if my android is a problem maybe you should buy me an iPhone." He smriks and say"I have to see if you're iPhone Material ." I get offended slightly and he says it was. Joke

Joke or not I didn't find it funny and I said I am no longer interested lol I need opinions and I crazy?

Probably closer to the truth than not tbh

There is no reason to neurodivergentally encrypt the entire OS while still using cell phone infra unless you have very specific files to hide. They'll triangulate your location if you have a SIM, so pinecels are clearly hiding data

Pinephone is a linux based cellphone with tech a full decade behind everything else.

It is entirely degoogled, idk if it runs apks or binaries or what, but allows you all manner of linux spergery, most importantly full drive encryption.

I'm not sure if they upgraded it or what the current specs are but it's like a phone, but worse and more expensive in every way and I cant imagine the bluetooth works right

>It is entirely degoogled

it was never "googled" in the first place. its not android, it's not AOSP, it's just a normal ARM64 computer that you can run linux on

>idk if it runs apks or binaries or what

it just runs regular linux programs.

you can run android apps, but you have to use waydroid or something.

>most importantly full drive encryption.

android already has way more sophisticated FDE and bootloader locking (this is why grapheneos' schizo dev doesn't port it to devices other than pixels). There is only one pinephone distro I know of that even has FDE.

>but worse and more expensive in every way

there is a $200 one thats slow as balls and a $400 one that isn't as slow as balls but still pretty slow.

>I cant imagine the bluetooth works right

works fine

Are you a chomo or schizo?

You can buy last gen samsungs for like $200 on Ebay and mog the pinephone so $400 is expensive imo.

In all seriousness how do I get FDE on bootloader lock on a Samsung, i dont want anyone seeing that im on this site if i lose my phone

I got the $200 dollar one and I just use it as a modem sometimes. i use a fairphone on the daily.

>You can buy last gen samsungs for like $200 on Ebay

if course, but it still won't run linux you stupid BIPOC. that $200 samsung phone won't just have the closed source android locked in by the bootloader, it will have all of the samsung chink aids on top of closed source android and it will probably be carrier locked too.

>In all seriousness how do I get FDE on bootloader lock on a Samsung

you need a device with support for AOSP, and an unlockable or relockable bootloader. Pixels are good for this, just use grapheneOS or calyxOS. You can tell it has FDE because it requires you to put in your password when you reboot, just use a long password you enter once when it turns on and use fingerprint to unlock. Also set it to auto reboot every 6 hours or so, if it gets stolen it will lock itself eventually.

>In all seriousness how do I get FDE on bootloader lock on a Samsung, i dont want anyone seeing that im on this site if i lose my phone

Can't. there is nothing you can do to wipe all of your passwords and shit other than bricking the phone. sorry neighbor you just got samsunged

I wouldn't put it past pinecels to have a DIY ethernet adapter and just plug into the nearest port when they need to communicate with someone
