If it came with a salary increase I'd be a PM in a heartbeat. All you have to do is document why your peons say they aren't done yet and replace them next quarter.

Maybe point out a hilariously inefficient design once a year

My good PM (smart, competent, easy to work with) just got promoted and her backfill (disorganized, inexperienced, doesn't understand the project) can't even navigate our kanban board without fumbling around and murmuring under his breath. This week he's technically still ramping up but next week is :marseyplanecrash:

Wouldn't it be super beneficial to make a good impression with these people without actually doing any work?

>tell them no

>tell them to pay you more

>take bad notes

These people have never had a job

hey boss, just between you and me I'd prefer to not be responsible for the notes :marseygossipsmug:

Literally this easy and it makes you look like a gigachad who can effortlessly say no

Project Manager roles vary by company, but IME it's normal to expect a PM to take notes. Also this woman has apparently been let go 6(!) times in the last few years, so she might want to consider being a compliant wagie

If I'm PMing a project then I'm going to be taking notes all the time anyway

I'm always surprised to hear about PMs outside of my experience where I work. Ours are all workaholics and it's QA and Ops that need constant pushes to do anything

Fair, I'm used to just implementing the feature during the meeting so I don't have to remember anything
