There's some r-slurred study where they had a bunch of untrained college kids do 3x8 chest press twice a week for ten weeks and since the newbie gains of an r-slured butt workout was similar relative to their starting size between the men and women after 20 sessions they conclude women actually gain mass just as fast men.
Edit: Found it. 3x8-12 and there was lat pull-downs and some leg shit too but they only tested for upper body.

Oh, you sweet, sweet summer child... They tested for that shit, then when the results weren't what they wanted they threw those results into the trash. That's how science works!

I started going to the gym untrained and now I squat 2 plates and DL 3 within 8 months.
Skinny Taylor Swift who knows all the gym staff and did when I started there is still squatting 25s.
Now, I'm a firm believer in percentages of BW being the best measure of strength. So when I see a petite woman lifting a weight that's heavy for her but light for me, I still mire and respecc.
But I have a biological advantage in pumping the numbers up and gaining muscle. Doesn't mean I can't respect foid lifters, but if raw numbers are important, then I'm more suited.
