Worldwide there were 14 confirmed shark-related fatalities last year, including 10 classified as unprovoked. There are roughly 500 casss of filicide per year in the United States alone, of which more than half are mothers murdering their progeny.

Jaws, as kino as it was, was probably the worst thing to ever happen to sharks, sadly :marseysad:

People think of them as man-eating monsters, and they started exterminating them so much to the point where even the author of the novel (the film was an adaption btw) spent the rest of his life advocating for marine conservation because how much damage was done :marseyharpoongun: :sharkmarseygenocide:
