I'm pretty sure that these people see actual moderates as right-leaning, though. To them anything that isn't actually leftist on all the issues they care about is right-leaning. When it comes to some topics, they view simple acts of accurately perceiving objective reality as right-leaning. Not that there aren't rightoids who disguise their politics to get laid, I'm sure there are plenty.

I think it's more fun to speak one's mind. Not about everything right away, cause there are minefields in some people's minds that will immediately engage an Orwellian crimestop response if they hear certain things. Sure, I get that. For me personally though, it's an intimacy thing, not a conquest thing. It's not a feeling of overpowering or seducing the other person's politics that turns me on, it's more the feeling of deactivating shields that would otherwise prevent real intimacy.
