Back on the original /r/braincels, there were a few people who'd post their faces there asking if they were handsome or not. I saw a comment on one of them saying "If you were handsome, you would know it." This has been burnt into my memory. If I'm ugly to my own eyes, I can assure you, I'm even worse looking to other people.
