since im turning 21 next month (gotta leave this community lol) i had to share my story. i got pregnant when i was 17. my boyfriend (19) asked me to do it without protection. initially i resisted, but due to constant questioning and fear of breaking up and being alone, i gave in. got to know after 2 months. he ran away. worked my butt off to pay the bills for abortion (around 15k). don't throw away your life for a guy. love isn't uncomfortable :)

Maybe she's r-slurred but I can see the costs of possible out of state travel + daily costs + later trimester abortion + lost wages from time away and recovery amounting to more than 10k
Like it's out of hand misleading to just say "15k" when the actual procedure itself is 2-5k but i don't see how that's drama?

Don't be r-slurred. It's an outpatient procedure. 2 nights in hotel and a plane ticket across the country are $1k MAX.

Well, because if they got pregnant at 17 and boyfriend ran off, where are their parents? They didn't say anything about "and my horrible pro-life bigot parents wouldn't pay for an abortion", so that casts doubt on the rest of the story.
It's more credible if the person is in India, didn't want parents to know they were fricking around outside of marriage and got knocked up by a guy who ran out on them, so they raised the money themselves, plus the high cost is because it's in rupees not dollars. Could still be a fake story, but that is more credible than "I got knocked up at 17 and despite there being a Planned Parenthood clinic on every corner in the USA, I had to raise $15,000 dollars myself in secret to get an abortion".
