If you pay attention you will notice that all the blue and green nations with more cross gender friends are the ones becoming less liberal while it is the red nations with mostly same gender friends becoming more liberal and progressive.
More proof that the better you know the other gender, the more disgusted you are by them and the less you care about their rights. It is impossible to give someone more rights without putting them on a pedestal. It is impossible to put someone on a pedestal if you get to know them personally.
