I used to have a sub that was kept empty and I had great fun inviting redditors (derogatory) to send me walls of text to apply for poasting privileges which I would then smugly deny and mock them for putting in effort to something I obviously wasn't going to do.

All my hobby forums aren't politically loaded so they don't hamper about respect stuff as a immutable value. Rather respect is earned among your peers.
PC-enthusiastic forums were too self-aware about brand loyalty and e-peepee swinging. But they respected people about deep knowledge hardware and software.

Same, but even the best threads on /tg/ don't come close to the great, mega neurodivergent, thesis length posts the gaming den used to have. The Tome was pretty much a free community driven version of what Pathfinder should have been and despite some flaws and being almost impossible to find groups for, it's the most fun version of D&D I've ever played.
